Grand Knight Message

I could not be happier as to the turnout for the dinner dance for the Monastery! Just great food, great ticket sales and great work by our Knights and of course Tony and his crew. Big thanks to Brother Ken, Brother Chris and Brother Fred organizing the whole dinner for us. All the brothers that chipped in to make sure everything went as planned. All those brothers that did the cooking, serving and cleanup.

This is how great events happen. Everyone helping out and volunteering when needed. More events will be happening and I hope the response will be the same.

We got some good news that we will be participating in Coats for Kids again this year. We also have our Golf tournament set for November.

We still need to get new members for our council. We need to make sure we are following up on any interested members that know of any possible candidates. I would like to see a table before and after our first Sunday masses outside talking to potential candidates.

I am looking forward to a great attendance at our monthly meeting so everyone can stay informed as to what is happening each month in our council. Come to meetings and be informed.

I saw this quote and I thought it was worth passing on: Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore, the Order’s supreme chaplain, said of Father McGivney: “One of the main reasons he founded the Knights of Columbus was to strengthen the men of his parish in the faith of the Church, to ensure that the core of their existence was touched and transformed by the powerful presence of Christ.”

He still watches over his Knights and all those who call upon him in faith.
